If there is one cow family that truly embodies the vision behind the Ocean-View breeding program, it is the Sassy family.

For generations, Ocean-View has been built on the belief that great cattle are created through great maternal lines, and few families illustrate that better than the Sassys. This branch traces directly to the legendary Sexation and our foundation cow "Steps," while also incorporating one of our most treasured influences, Zandra.

During their era, Lindy Sheen and Mandel Zandra stood together in our show string. We were often asked which was our favorite, and the honest answer was always the same—it was nearly impossible to choose. The Sassy family represents the best qualities of both families blended into one remarkable maternal line.

What makes the story even more impressive is how this family developed from Ocean-View Zenith Sassy who was never flushed. Instead, she produced four natural daughters, each of which became the foundation of an extraordinary branch of the family:

• EX-93 Dundee Sassy – a 300,000+ lb lifetime producer and one of the family's most influential brood cows.
