Collection: ANNIE FAMILY

Dun-Did Sanchez Arabella EX-94

The Annie family traces back to one of the original foundation families developed by Pam's father, Harry Weier. Today, the family stands an incredible 11 generations  Excellent all homebred after the original, a testament to the consistency and strength that have defined these cows for decades.

"I can still remember old Annie like it was yesterday, even though I couldn't have been more than five years old," recalls Pam. While many of Ocean View's earliest foundation cows existed before her time, the Annie family provides a unique connection to those beginnings and the people who built them.

The current chapter of the family began when Harry held his dispersal sale and Daryl and Pam purchased ten cows to continue the Dun-Did legacy. Among them was a young Whiskey Wisdom calf from a Citation R daughter that made the trip to California alongside her dam. In fact, every cow in the Ocean View barn today traces back to Citation R—a fitting tribute to Harry, who as a young man accompanied Citation R on his memorable train journey to Mexico.

As the family developed, using Damion left a tremendous mark, and his influence combined with the strength of Sanchez created a branch that continues to flourish in the herd today. Along the way, the family has also helped build lasting friendships. Many of the Annie descendants are now owned in partnership with Martin Artucio of Uruguay, who purchased half-interest in a young Goldsun from our 2017 dispersal. What began as a cattle investment quickly grew into a great friendship and a growing legacy of outstanding offspring on two continents.

Like the generations before them, the Annie family continues to prove the value of deep maternal lines, combining history, consistency, and the ability to breed exceptional cattle generation after generation.
